Meet Energy Ed™The Energy ED Simulator is a realistic reconstruction of the electricity system in your state or service territory. Participants add or remove power plants while watching the corresponding effects on system reliability, air emissions and consumer bills. Construction of power plants is simulated using technology-specific emission rates and construction costs. Complex scenarios are brought to life by varying growth rates, efficiency efforts, and natural gas prices. The simulation provides educational capsules as well as state-specific estimates of available renewable resources. |
